[13th century. Via French < Latin rudis “raw, rough”]

-rude·ly, , adv

We find today that rudeness and unseemly behavior seem to be the norm, in that normal is actually considered to be what happens more often than not. Finding people, well-bred in manners and self contained enough to be gracious is a rarity. However, we see people which are much more broken than in years past. When a person is not mentally and emotionally healthy they will behave with less taste and class. This behavior is much worse in the home than in public. Why? This is not how it should be, but often is the reality. I believe it is because in their home is where people feel most comfortable and let their hair down, so to speak, the most. This results in the inside of them showing more on the outside and that inside can be pretty ugly if a person has not been taught well or had been damage a great deal in life. Yet, our homes house the people who mean the most to us in life and there above all other places we should make every effort to be on our best behavior and to guard the feeling of those around us.
