What We Will Not Find In Heaven…………….Series – Heaven Real or Myth

This pieces twist will be to take a look at what is missing from heaven.  When one thinks of heaven, one might consider it lacking[s] yet, this exactly what we are going to do now.  To fully understand heaven one must consider what is present and what is not present, in this glorious future home. We will begin with a few things that might be obvious to most as not something one would find in a perfect environment; which heaven is and will be.

“nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.  [Jesus Speaking] –  Luke 20:36

Death is no longer a concept in heaven.  Death is a thing of the past.  One lives for all of eternity in heaven.  Life may seem long at times here on earth; however, in heaven it will be long.

But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.  – Rev. 22:15

Wicked people and wickedness are no more.  This has passed away and all things are perfect and new.  There will be no place for sin and no desire for sin.

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.   Rev. 22:3

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”  – Rev. 21:4

“for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”   Rev. 7:17

Three very distinct things we live with and suffer with here on earth will cease to be once we reach our glorious eternal home.  The curse we have had to live with since the day of our birth.  Thanks to our spiritual parents Adam and Eve and the fall of mankind.  The pain, which the decaying body and mind rack against our daily lives.  The sorrow, which enters through our circumstances daily as we maneuver through this maze call life.  Whether this curse, pain, or sorrow is of our own making or brought on through no participation at all on our part, there will come a day when it will be vanquished.

42So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.  50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.  – 1 Cor. 15:42, 50

There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.    Rev. 22:5

“And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” [Jesus Speaking]  – Matt. 25:46

Beginning and end do not exist in heaven.  There are no expiration dates.  It always will be.  Our earthly bodies may perish but our eternal glorified bodies will be imperishable.  They shall not wear out, decay and cease to perform, as they should.  We will have no need of lights and electricity as there will be no night from which to attempt to escape.  Jesus Himself will light heaven with the light from His glory.  Most importantly there will never be any end.  We hear the saying here on earth, “All good things must come to an end.” Not so in heaven!

“For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.. [Jesus Speaking] – Matt. 22:30

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.  – 1 Cor. 15:50

Lastly, contrary to many grieving widows and widowers desires there is no marriage in heaven.  There are no flesh and blood people, as we know them.  There are only people in their glorified state.  The idea of an intimate connection as we know it here on earth, through marriage, will dim in comparison to the godly intimacy we will share with all people in heaven.  The needs for that connection, we now crave to satisfy through marriage will no longer exist.  Therefore, there will no longer be a need for marriage.  While we live in the flesh and blood, God allows us to experience a shadow of true love and intimacy through our marriages; only preparing us for the purest, truest, greatest love and intimacy of all time.
